Proposal
As part of a redesign project, I collaborated with a developer to transform an outdated paper calculator into a modern, user-friendly app. My role focused on reimagining the visual design—incorporating the company’s brand colors while introducing a brighter, cleaner aesthetic to enhance usability and appeal. To maintain a sense of continuity, I also integrated their signature paper airplane motif, giving the new interface a fresh look that still honors the original brand identity
Icons
For the Paper Calculator App redesign, I created a set of vibrant, modern icons that reflect the themes of paper and printing. Drawing inspiration from CMYK color values and paper textures, the new icons bring energy and clarity to the interface while staying true to the app’s purpose. These refreshed visuals replace the outdated icons with cleaner, more cohesive designs. Side-by-side comparisons highlight the evolution from the original icons to a more contemporary and engaging visual language.
Menus
As part of the Paper Calculator App redesign, I reimagined the menu layout to be more intuitive, vibrant, and visually engaging. Building on the themes of paper and print, I introduced playful mascots and incorporated the brand’s signature paper airplane to guide the user experience in a fun and friendly way. The updated menus feature brighter colors, cleaner structure, and improved navigation—offering a fresh contrast to the app’s previous, more static design. Before-and-after visuals highlight the transformation and the added personality that now brings the interface to life.
Paper Pro 2.0
To showcase the refreshed Paper Calculator App, I presented the redesigned home screen alongside an example calculator page. The new interface brings a brighter, more cohesive visual style, aligning with the updated branding throughout the app. On the calculator pages, I added a subtle but creative touch—two unique paper-shaped icons in the top corner serve as return buttons, blending functionality with the app’s playful, paper-themed identity. These design details help reinforce the brand while enhancing the overall user experience.
